Hello! My name is Simon Zirkunow and I’m your host for this site.

I’m a communication designer. One job description for that might be: “Translating content from one group to another using shapes, colors and lines.” Recently, I’ve finished working on my Master’s thesis in Communication Design in Konstanz. My topic was graphic design history and I suggested a different way of structuring it, thus making the content more approachable. Previously, I studied in Schwäbisch Hall and Portland, Oregon. This site is supposed to be an ongoing experiment, a discovery trip. I have no idea what’s going to happen next — so I invite you to stick around and find that out as we go. And I’m curious. Aren’t you? I am allergic to most blossoms, some animals and the typeface Rotis. I also have a soft spot for Robert Longo’s Men in the Cities. |
